An annual clay shooting event has raised more than £20,000 for the Get A-Head Charitable Trust, supporting individuals with head and neck diseases across England and Wales. The successful fundraiser took place at the esteemed Holland & Holland Shooting Grounds in Northwood, near London.

Teams from various parts of the country gathered to participate in a series of shooting challenges, organized by Wilde & Glorious. The event was celebrated as a tremendous success by Tom Bromwich, Chair of Get A-Head.

“We couldn’t be more delighted with the success of the day,” said Bromwich. “The event has raised significant funds for the charity and we are very thankful for all those who took part as well as the contributions made by the sponsors. We exist to improve the quality of life for patients suffering from head and neck diseases, particularly cancer, and events such as this are a vital way of raising the profile of the charity whilst also boosting its funds. The fact that we were able to have so much fun while we were doing it made it all the better.”

The attendees enjoyed a champagne reception and participated in a charity auction. John Watkinson, founder of Get A-Head, addressed the guests, sharing the achievements of the charity since its inception in 1994 and outlining future plans.

Get A-Head has raised over £10 million since its formation, providing crucial support to those affected by head and neck diseases. This year’s clay shooting event not only contributed significant funds but also enhanced awareness of the charity’s mission.
