Appeal For Witnesses to Attempted Robbery in Langley

Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted robbery in Langley which happened between 7:00am and 7.30am on Wednesday (15 May.

A man in his twenties was walking along the canal path when he was approached by two men who demanded his property. One man pulled out a knife and the victim ran away.  

Both men chased the victim who continued to run across a railway bridge on to Minster Way and across St Mary’s Graveyard.

Fortunately, he was not injured.

The two men who threatened the victim are described as Asian men, wearing balaclavas and aged between 18 and 25-years-old.

One of the men was between 5ft 7ins and 5ft 9ins tall, of average build, wearing a blue Adidas tracksuit with black Nike trainers.

The other man wore a black tracksuit and spoke with a local accent.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Holly Baxter said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have information about this incident to please come forward.
