A lower speed limit zone has been put in place to slow traffic down around Whiteheath Junior School in Ruislip.

Following a consultation where parents, residents and teachers at the school raised their concerns that the number of speeding cars had increased, the council decided to implement the speed restriction to help keep everyone safe with the full support of local Councillor John Riley.

Students from the school were asked to help design some of the signage displaying the new 20-mile-per-hour speed limit.

It is hoped that motorists will now be more careful while driving in the zone on Ladygate Lane.
