The police have issued a warning following a spate of e-bike-enabled thefts has targeted mobile phones and handbags in Ruislip and Eastcote. Specifically, Long Drive, Field End Road, and Station Approach have been identified as hotspots for these fast and brazen crimes.
According to eyewitnesses, thieves are often riding e-bikes and e-scooters, committing the thefts in a matter of seconds. This has left residents on high alert, with many urging others to exercise caution when using their mobile phones in public.
To avoid falling victim to these thefts, experts recommend taking the following simple precautions:
