A fire broke out yesterday morning (19 July) at a bakery industrial unit on Silverdale Road in Hayes, prompting a swift response from firefighters.
The London Fire Brigade was alerted to the fire at 11:51am where four fire engines and approximately 25 firefighters were dispatched to the scene, which severely damaged a bakery oven. The building was successfully evacuated by the staff before the fire brigade’s arrival, ensuring no injuries were reported.
The situation was brought under control by 1:24pm.
Fire crews from Hayes, Hillingdon, Heathrow, and Feltham stations were present to manage the emergency.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.
