A fire broke out at a commercial property on Kingsend in Ruislip last Friday (9th August), prompting a swift response from emergency services. Eight fire engines and approximately 60 firefighters were deployed to tackle the blaze.
Firefighters were alerted to the incident at 10:26PM, with crews from Ruislip, Hillingdon and Harrow stations attending.
The fire caused damage to half of a walkway on the side of an adjacent supermarket.
One of the London Fire Brigade’s specialised 32-meter turntable ladders was utilised as a water tower, allowing crews to fight the fire from effectively.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported and the fire was brought under control by 12:10AM.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the London Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
