Gardening enthusiasts are in for a treat this spring as the Ruislip Central Horticultural Society (RCHS) welcomes renowned horticulturist Matthew Pottage for an exclusive talk this April. Following in the footsteps of industry icons such as Bob Flowerdew, Christine Walkden, Nick Bailey, and Pippa Greenwood, Pottage’s visit is set to be a highlight of the horticultural calendar.

As Head of Horticulture and Landscape Strategy for The Royal Parks in London and former Curator of RHS Garden Wisley, Matthew Pottage has played a pivotal role in shaping some of the UK’s most treasured green spaces. Appointed as the youngest-ever Curator of an RHS garden at just 29, he led Wisley through a decade of transformation, bringing innovation and fresh design concepts to one of the nation’s most visited gardens.

For one night only, Tuesday 8th April, attendees will have the chance to hear Pottage share insights into his career, discuss his favourite plants, and provide expert gardening tips. His talk will cover personal experiences, the challenges of managing major horticultural projects, and his vision for the future of British gardens.

This special event is a rare chance to gain knowledge from one of the UK’s most respected horticultural minds, as Pottage seldom gives public talks due to his busy schedule. Guests can look forward to an engaging and informative evening, complete with complimentary wine, snacks, and hot drinks.

Tickets are priced between £12.00 and £16.00 and can be purchased on the RCHS website.
