Police are appealing for information after woman’s death in canal at Kings Langley

Police were called at 12.38pm on Wednesday (11 May) to concerns for the welfare of a woman found by a member of the public in the Grand Union Canal, Hempstead Road, near Hunton Bridge, Kings Langley.

Emergency services attended but sadly the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her next of kin have been informed and, at this stage, the death is being treated as unexplained.

Officers are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the woman by the canal between 11am and 12.35pm on Wednesday 11 May.

She was described as white, aged in her 50s, 5ft 5in tall, of medium build, with shoulder length brown hair and was wearing a red T-shirt, a dark-coloured, possibly black, hoody, dark jeans and black trainers with a white sole.
