Police are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage following a serious injury road traffic collision in Denham.

At around 5pm last Sunday (11 December), a red Suzuki Vitara was travelling from the Swakeleys roundabout towards junction one of the M40. At the exit slip road, the car left the road and collided with a barrier. The car then caught fire.

Members of the public stopped and helped the two occupants, a man and a woman in their seventies, out of the vehicle. They were both taken to hospital. The driver has since been discharged, however the passenger remains in a critical condition.

Investigating officer, PC Dawn Seston, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit at Thames Valley Police, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision, or who may have dash-cam footage of this incident, to please come forward.

“We’d also like to thank the members of the public who stopped to help the couple and reunited them with their dog who was also in the vehicle at the time.

“Anyone with information can contact police by calling 101 or making a report online, quoting reference 43220556839.”
