Appeal for witnesses to serious injury road traffic collision

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision in Chalfont St Giles, which left a man with serious injuries.

At around 2.35pm on Saturday (23 October) there was a collision between a silver van and cyclist on the roundabout of the A413 and Vache Lane.

The cyclist, a man in his forties, sustained injuries to his shoulder that required hospital treatment. He has since been discharged.

The van did not stop at the scene. The driver is described as an Asian woman.

Investigating officer, PC Robin Nickless, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, based at Amersham police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to please come forward.

“I’d also ask any motorists with dash-cams who may have been in the local area around the time this happened to check any footage in case it may have captured something that could help with the investigation.
