Charville library asks for help to win Guinness World Record

Charville library is asking for help to beat a current Guinness World Record by creating the largest blanket in the world, which will be large enough to span several football fields!

The library needs six-inch squares to be knitted using double knitting wool and size five hooks or needles. The squares can be taken to any library and will then be sewn together to make the large blanket.

After, the blanket will be turned into smaller ones and distributed to people in need across the borough.

In a statement published online, the organisers said: “We need as many squares as possible and every square that you can provide, even one will make all the difference.”
