Hillingdon Council has announced its inaugural Families Roadshow, set to take place at Ruislip Manor Library on Wednesday, 5 February, from 10am to 3pm. This free, drop-in event is designed to connect local families with essential services and resources offered by the council and its partners.
Parents and carers will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of informative stalls showcasing services tailored to families and children. Attendees can engage directly with council officers, gaining valuable insights into the diverse support available within the borough.
The event will feature engaging talks, interactive demonstrations, and fun-filled activities for children under five. Representatives from key council departments, including libraries, the Families’ Information Service and the stronger families team will be present. Several health and support organizations will also be on hand to provide guidance and answer queries.
Cllr Susan O’Brien, Hillingdon Council’s Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Education said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for residents to discover and learn how to access our expansive services on offer to families by having them all together in one place at the same time.
“They can pop in throughout the day, browse the stalls, listen to guest speakers or hear from the professionals, see demonstrations and get more information about what is provided.
“This is the first event of its kind in Hillingdon, and with its success we hope to replicate it in other parts of the borough so no one misses out.”
