Detectives appeal for witnesses after strangulation in Ruislip

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forwards after a strangulation in Ruislip.

The incident occurred just after 6:00pm on Tuesday, 16 August near Stafford Road.

The victim, a woman in her in her 20’s was approached from behind and dragged into a nearby bush, where the suspect then assaulted her by strangulation. The suspect fled the scene towards an unknown direction.

Police would like to identify a person of interest who is described as a white man, approximately aged between 21-25 years old, 6ft in height black curly hair, dark eyes, pale skin, and purple top t-shirt style, and black shorts, who was on a bicycle.

Detective Inspector Tony Smith from West Area Command said: “We are looking for the public assistance with this concerning incident. I urge anyone that saw anything suspicious or are the person that we would like to identify to come forward. I would welcome any CCTV or dashcam footage of anyone who may have been running away from the area of Stafford Road, Ruislip.”
