Detectives have released an image of a man they wish to speak to after two women were assaulted in Northolt.

Police were called to Church Road at 9:28am on Wednesday, 10 August following reports that a woman had been the victim of a sexual assault.

Officers attended and provided support to the woman. Enquiries established that the alleged assault took place in the nearby underpass at the White Hart roundabout shortly after 5:00am.

A crime scene was put in place and an investigation was launched by specialist detectives.

Later the same day, local officers were approached by a second woman who alleged that she had been raped in the same underpass at or shortly after midnight the same day.

Officers are treating the allegations as linked.

Detective Constable Stephen Gayfer said: “We are doing all we can to support these women and to investigate these allegations.

“Our enquiries have led us to identify a man seen on CCTV who we urgently want to identify and speak to.

“I urge anyone who recognises this man, or who was in the area at the time of these incidents and saw anything suspicious, to come forward.” Anyone with information should call 101 with the reference 1980/10AUG.
