History enthusiasts can step back in time at Manor Farm, Ruislip, on Saturday, July 13th. From 11 am to 4 pm, visitors can don suits of armour and immerse themselves in medieval-themed activities. The medieval fun continues on Sunday, July 28th, at Cranford Park’s annual Family Day. From 10 am, the park will host falconry displays, historic reenactments, and an array of engaging stalls.
For those looking for active fun, Hillingdon’s parks offer free hour-long tennis sessions. Join in at Harmondsworth Recreation Ground, Northwood Recreation Ground, and Rosedale Park. For younger children, the new soft play area at Botwell Green Sports and Leisure Centre promises endless fun for under-10s.
Car enthusiasts can mark their calendars for the classic car rally and heritage day at Eastcote House and Gardens on Thursday, September 5th. From 10 am to 4 pm, this popular event will showcase a stunning collection of vintage cars amidst beautiful gardens.
Hillingdon’s libraries are hosting a packed calendar of indoor events this summer. The Summer Reading Challenge kicks off on Saturday, July 6th, inviting children aged four to 11 to dive into the ‘Marvellous Makers’ theme. On Friday, August 9th, from 2 pm to 4 pm, Uxbridge Library will host an ‘Amazing Mazes’ event, featuring maze-themed art and crafts.
