Around 25 firefighters from four fire stations tackled a fire at a flat above a shop on Uxbridge High Street this morning (7 December) just after 7am.
Part of a four-roomed flat on the third floor of the building was damaged by fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus led a woman to safety who was treated on scene by London Ambulance Service crews.
999 Fire Control Officers gave vital fire survival guidance to those inside on how to stay safe before the firefighters arrived.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and was under control by 7:58am.
