Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Hayes, Southall and Hillingdon tackled a fire involving a takeaway shop on Coldharbour Lane in Hayes yesterday morning.
A large area of the kitchen in the takeaway shop was destroyed by the fire and ducting running from the ground floor to the first floor was also damaged by the fire.
Fire crews removed four people from a two-storey maisonette over the shop as a precaution. There were no injuries reported.
The fire was under control by 12:09.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
