Firefighters tackle outbuilding fire in Hayes

Seaton Road Sign | Hillingdon Today

Fire engines from Hayes and Heathrow tackled a fire at an outbuilding on Seaton Road in Hayes last Friday (19 November) at 11:07pm.

A small part of a single-storey outbuilding was damaged by fire. Firefighters evacuated around 12 people from surrounding properties. There were no reports of any injuries and the fire was under control by 12:04am.

A 25-metre cordon was put in place as a precaution and firefighters removed and cooled two gas cylinders to an ambient temperature as some cylinders can explode when exposed to heat.

The fire is believed to have involved cooking.
