Hillingdon Council’s Learn Hillingdon Adult Community Education service held a graduation ceremony for some of its 2021/22 adult learners at the Civic Centre last Saturday (18 November).
The 110 former students, many studying a full year or longer with Learn Hillingdon, each received a certificate and a handshake from Hillingdon’s Deputy Mayor, Cllr Ahmad Wallana at the ceremony in front of their guests and fellow learners.
The ceremony, attended by almost 200 people, took place in the Civic Centre’s Middlesex Suite and was a chance for the students to reunite with former classmates.
Cllr Susan O’Brien, Hillingdon’s Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Education, said: “Congratulations to all the graduates. Their success highlights what can be achieved with the support of the Learn Hillingdon team and the wide range of courses on offer.
“I wish them all every success in the future and I hope they have inspired others to take the opportunity to learn something new with us.”
Learn Hillingdon Adult Community Education offers more than 500 part time courses for adults aged 19 and above.
