Hunt Underway for Suspect in Hayes Robbery Attempt

Hayes detectives are asking for help in identifying a suspect involved in an attempted robbery and stabbing incident / Metropolitan Police Service

Detectives have released an E-fit image and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an attempted robbery that led to a stabbing incident in Hayes last Wednesday (8 April).

The incident happened at 1:35am when the 20-year-old victim was walking along Judge Heath Lane with his friends and an unknown man approached the group and demanded they empty their pockets. The man then ran at the group, tripped up the victim and stabbed him in the chest.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening.

No property was taken during the incident.

Officers are urging anyone who may recognise the individual depicted in the E-fit or possesses pertinent information regarding the incident to come forward by calling 101 quoting reference CAD 518/08APR.
