The Northwood community is set to come together on Sunday, 5th July, as Northwood Recreation Ground hosts WoodsFest100, a fun-filled summer afternoon of entertainment, music, and family activities. The event, held from 11am to 5pm, is part of Northwood FC's centenary celebrations, marking 100 years of the club's history.
Organisers aim to raise funds for Mount Vernon Cancer Centre Charity, with a particular focus on supporting the Lynda Jackson Centre. The festivities will feature a range of activities, including a small music stage, local community organisations, food trucks, and business stalls. A dog show, children's activities, valuation and collectables stall, martial arts displays, and youth football displays are also scheduled to take place.
A friendly cricket match will be held on the back field, and the local fire brigade is expected to make an appearance with a fire engine for families to see.
