An online escape room experience for 7 to 10-year-olds and their families is coming to Charville Library this Thursday (April 8) as part of the Hillingdon Libraries’ Reading Friends programme.
The free virtual event, ‘Escape from Charville Library’, will be held from 3pm to 4.30pm and will be a chance for families to work in teams and pit their wits against the sneaky Professor Indexia, who has trapped everyone in the library and hidden the key!
Participants will get to take part in fun challenges to boost children’s reading, research and STEM skills including, quizzes, action-packed practical tasks and speedy scavenger hunts, all as part of an engaging, interactive story, in a bid to beat the professor and escape from the virtual library.
Escape rooms are growing ever more popular and have proven to be a virtual hit during the pandemic. Originally started in the early 00’s, an escape room is a game in which a team of players cooperatively discover clues, solve puzzles, and accomplish tasks in order to progress and escape from the room in a limited amount of time.
Further details about this event can be found on the Hillingdon Libraries website.
