Scam Alert: Fraudulent Activity at Ickenham Library Car Park

Authorities have reported a recent scam attempt in the Ickenham Library car park. A male suspect was caught trying to fraudulently obtain a banking card by falsely claiming there was a fine to pay.

Residents are urged to remain vigilant as this scam could potentially occur in other locations in the area.

Police have reminded residents that Hillingdon Council Parking Enforcement officers will never request on-the-spot payments.

Payments for car parking can only be made at designated pay-and-display machines.

If approached for your bank details or asked to use your debit/credit card to pay a parking charge, and the suspect is still present or nearby, immediately call 999 to report a crime in progress.

Anyone with dashcam footage from the incident at Ickenham Library car park are asked to call police on 101.
