A number of stolen vehicles have been recovered in Rickmansworth following a warrant that was issued last week.

On Tuesday 17 May, police officers stopped a vehicle of interest which was found to be using false number plates. The driver, a man in his 30s, was arrested and the vehicle was seized, alongside the false plates and a mobile phone. He has since been released under investigation.

Acting on intelligence, officers attached to Operation Scorpion and the local Safer Neighbourhood Team then carried out a warrant the following day at The Orchards in Chalfont Lane.

They identified two vehicles, one of which was believed to have been stolen from Ireland, and another which was believed to have been stolen from Hemel Hempstead. Both vehicles were recovered by police.

Hertfordshire Constabulary is working alongside the Garda to progress the ongoing investigation.
