A 17-year-old male has been charged with the murder of 16-year-old Kamari Johnson in Hayes and appeared in Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Monday, May 27. Facing charges of both murder and possession of a bladed article in a public place, he has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, May 29.
The teenager was arrested on Saturday, May 25, by detectives investigating the murder.
The altercation, which resulted in Kamari’s death, occurred around 1:30 PM on Friday, May 24, near Bourne Avenue and Nine Acre Close in Hayes.
Detectives are urging any witnesses or anyone with relevant information to come forward to assist with the investigation. Those with information are encouraged to contact the police on 101 or via @MetCC with reference CAD 3832/24May.
Individuals with footage or images related to the incident are urged to upload them directly to the police through the Operation Brownlow online portal.
