Appeal following sexual assault on a bus in west London / Metropolitan Police Service

Police have released an image of a man and are appealing to the public for help to identify him in relation to an allegation of sexual assault that took place on a bus in west London.

The incident happened at around 02:50hrs on Friday, 5 August 2022 on board an N9 bus from central London to Hounslow.

A woman was sitting on the lower deck when the suspect, who had boarded at Hammersmith, approached her, sat next to her then kissed her on the face. He also put his arms around her. The woman pushed him away several times before someone intervened and the woman got off the bus.

Detective Inspector Jonathan Potter, from the Roads and Transport Policing Command, said: “We are releasing this image in the hope someone will recognise this man and provide his details to police. Sexual abuse of any sort will not be tolerated and those who choose to engage in such behaviour must be held to account.”
