Council planning officers have received a proposal for a new data centre development at the Silverdale Industrial Estate in Hayes, submitted by Marvell Developments LLC.
They plan to transform Unit 4 on Silverdale Road into a state-of-the-art facility, bolstering the borough's digital infrastructure.
The proposed data centre will feature a comprehensive suite of ancillary infrastructure, including an emergency generator, sprinkler tank, and security guard house. The site will also undergo significant improvements, with the construction of a new access road and upgraded footpaths.
Sustainability is a key aspect of the proposal, with a "Living Wall" and green initiatives designed to integrate the industrial site with the surrounding environment.
The facility will be protected by advanced security measures, including security fencing and the site's lighting has been carefully engineered to minimise light pollution, to prevent light spill into adjacent properties.
The plan also provides for car and bicycle parking, including dedicated electric vehicle charging bays and accessible parking bays with crossings featuring tactile paving.
The plans can be viewed now on the councils planning website under the planning reference 49261/APP/2024/2904 or by visiting https://planning.hillingdon.gov.uk/OcellaWeb/planningDetails?reference=49261/APP/2026/1445.
